♥ Totally Jelly!! Holika Holika Aqua Jelly BB Cream Review ♥
Yep, you probably heard about BB cream before and probably are using at the moment and now, CC cream? Will we going to have DD cream in the future? Haha, we don’t know but we’ll find out in the future.
Just wanted to give a brief review on few products that I’ve been using it for a while and so far it is one of my favorite BB cream. Not many people understand BB cream, if you Google it you’ll find a definition of BB cream:
BB cream stands for blemish balm, blemish base, or beblesh balm (apparently because of a trademark in Korea on the word “blemish”), and in Western markets, beauty balm. It is a cosmetic item sold mainly in East and Southeast Asia, although larger beauty brands are increasingly introducing BB creams to Western markets.
BB cream is promoted as an all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage.
I started to use BB cream several years ago when I had laser treatment on my face. I was looking for some kind of foundation what will a good coverage for my “post laser” skin and also gives me a natural “no-makup-on-face” look.
Not all BB cream are suitable for your skin, some of them will make your skin looked grayish while some will give you glow and enhance your skin tone.
I recently bought this BB cream Holika Holika Aqua Petite Jelly BB Cream ( long name!) This product is made with moist jelly texture, suppose to stay on your skin and absorb oil. Like I mentioned before, most of the BB cream will make your skin darker and grayish but not this one. You can chose from 2 colors. #1 & #2 (LOL!)
My suggestion:
#1 (Yellow): Great for light skin tone
#2 (Peach): Great for medium skin tone
I got #1 and I liked it very much! As you can see form the picture, it is kind of yellowish BUT when you apply on the face, it will brighten your skin tone.
Here are my thoughts:
- Good coverage
- Stays longer than normal foundation
- Oil absorb (great!), non greasy
- Brightens your skin
- No need to apply loose powder. ( but do so if you need more coverage)
- SPF 20
You can purchase Holika Holika products in many places, the cheapest price that I found was from eBay (a Korean seller) about $18.00 USD with free shipping. I searched other website but they all charge around $23.00 PLUS shipping. expensive! -_- I’d spend $150.00 to buy a Chanel CC cream but sorry not Holika…lol
On next post, I’ll share CC cream *wink wink* Olay Total Effect 7 In One CC cream!
What’s your experience with BB cream? If you have any questions on this product, let me know! ^^
